In serving her clients, Sue offers expertise in securities research, portfolio management and asset allocation as well as the sincere desire to be a trusted advisor, which she accomplishes by listening carefully and helping to ensure planning needs are consistently addressed.

Prior to joining Carter Financial Management, Sue was a vice president in the Private Client Group of Southwest Securities, a regional NYSE member-firm that acquired Spellman Capital Corporation, the boutique FINRA broker-dealer and registered investment advisory she founded in 1982.

Sue is a member of the D/FW Financial Planning Association. She has been quoted by national financial columnist Scott Burns and has provided investment guidance to both clients and women’s organizations.

Service

Sue’s philanthropic and volunteer work includes the Dallas Women’s Foundation Finance Committee, the San Antonio Area Foundation, Leadership Texas Class of 2013, Lovers Lane United Methodist Church and Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas. She also teaches English as a Second Language (ESL) to new immigrants through North Dallas Shared Ministries.

Education

A graduate of Newcomb College Tulane University, Sue also studied finance at the University of Texas at Austin.

Personal

Sue and her husband, Paul, have two grown daughters and live in Dallas.
