Tyler is a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner and a Retirement Income Certified PlannerTM. He serves clients by bringing expertise and a non-biased perspective to their complex financial lives. He believes separating emotions from financial decisions can increase the likelihood of reaching financial goals. Beyond the creation and implementation of the client’s financial plan, investment portfolios and insurance recommendations, Tyler provides expertise regarding charitable intentions, retirement income sources, and tax-efficient planning strategies. He also performs research on investments, investment strategies, and US and global economics.

His fresh financial planning perspective makes him a resource for financial publications including The Wall Street Journal.

Tyler began his investments career at Fidelity Investments. He currently serves on the CFM Management Team and co-chairs Carter Education Partners, which hosts an annual investment conference and seminars for clients.

Service

Tyler believes that service to the community is an integral part of one’s civic obligation. He has been a leader in various organizations such as the Texas Tech Alumni Association of Dallas and the Texas Tech Financial Planning Program’s Alumni Advisory Board. He has also held various leadership roles within the DFW Chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), including President. In addition to his work with career-related organizations, he volunteers his time with the Communities Foundation of Texas, The Senior Source and the Assistance Center of Collin County.

Education

Tyler earned a Bachelor of Science in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University.

Personal

Tyler and his wife Jenny live in Richardson with their daughters. They are active members of St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Plano and enjoy fellowship with friends and family.
