This year, several women from Carter Financial Management, joined by some of our valued clients, had the privilege of attending the Texas Women’s Foundation “Catalysts for Change” Luncheon at the Omni Hotel in Dallas. This inspiring event marked the Foundation’s 39th Annual Luncheon and celebrated the powerful role our community plays in strengthening women and creating a better world through the Foundation’s impactful programs.
The afternoon’s highlight was the keynote address by renowned journalist and former NBC News anchor Ann Curry. Known for her courageous coverage of global conflicts and humanitarian crises, Ann captivated the audience with her insight and empathy, weaving stories of resilience and community strength. Her words were guided by the thoughtful questions of Krys Boyd, host of KERA’s radio show Think, who brought her own depth and curiosity to the conversation, creating a dialogue that resonated deeply with all present.
We are especially proud to support the Texas Women’s Foundation, an organization close to our hearts, thanks to three of our very own—Ellenore Baker, CFP®, Sue Spellman, CFP®, and Patty Hammond—who previously served on its board. Their continued dedication to the Foundation’s mission inspires our commitment to supporting organizations that empower and uplift women.
The Texas Women’s Foundation’s work transforms the lives of countless women and girls in Texas, thanks to the support of dedicated community members and organizations like ours. Events like the “Catalysts for Change” Luncheon remind us that community involvement can help shape a brighter, more equitable future for women everywhere.
