Scholarship Winners Visit CFM

We were delighted when a few of our former scholarship winners came by CFM to visit with us in August.

These young men and women are phenomenal individuals; the potential our scholarship selection committees saw in each of them is becoming realized.

Jorge Rodriguez Santana (2014 winner) received his degree in landscape architecture in 2018 at Texas A&M University. He is currently working with an architecture firm in Dallas.

Rebecca Coy (2015 winner) received her Human Development and Family Sciences degree at the University of Texas at Austin in 2019. Rebecca then attended graduate school with a concentrated degree in social work, specializing in helping children.

Umesh Bhandari (2016 winner) is a 2020 Psychology graduate from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Ganga Bhandari (2017 winner and brother to Umesh) graduated in 2021 with a Nursing degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Maria Toral (2018 winner) earned her degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Texas San Antonio in 2022. Upon graduation, Maria moved out of the state to accept a permanent job in her career field.

Alex Nguyen (2019 winner) graduated early from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He attended graduate school at Rice University in Houston and earned his Master of Accounting degree in 2022.

Alex Gonzalez (2021 winner) is currently attending the University of Texas at Arlington, pursuing a degree in Nursing.

Jorge Servin (2021 winner) attends the University of Texas at Austin and is working on his Nursing degree.

Treasure Okey-ILo (2021 winner) attends Texas A&M University-Commerce and studies Nursing. She is participating in clinicals this semester to gain hands-on experience with patients.

Sarah Noor Alam (2022 winner) is attending The University of Texas at Arlington, where she is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Nursing. She is a sophomore and will commute to campus to attend classes while working full-time.

Robert Karcher (2023 winner) is attending Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas currently majoring in Computational Mathematics with a minor in Economics.

Lidiya Gebrehiwot (2024 winner) is attending Texas Woman’s University, majoring in nursing as a first-generation college student. Lidiya graduated as the Class of 2024 Valedictorian, simultaneously earning both her high school diploma and an Associate of Science degree.

Congratulations to all our Scholarship winners!

Amy joined Carter Financial Management in 2019 as Executive Assistant to Bill Carter. She has been in financial services for more than 20 years. Amy attended the University of North Texas, where she obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration.
